kidney functionFrom: anonymous@obgyn.netSun, 30 Jun 2002 01:39:19 -0500 (CDT)
Occassionally my urine has a strong fishy odor (just like tuna), sometimes this occurs after I have consumed more protein than normal, and it always occurs after I drink Slim-fast. Could this be a sign of poor kidney function? Also, usually, when I have a urine analysis done, red blood cells are found in my urine sample. I know that this is not normal, but my doctors always seem to rationalize it away even though it is consistently present. Should I be concerned? Also, I have relatively frequent urinary tract infections (almost always following sexual activity even though I urinate afterwards.) Thank you in advance
