uteral fibroidFrom: Patricia (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 29 Jun 2002 18:11:58 -0500 (CDT)
My mother calls me the other day and tells me that she now knows why her lower belly's been hurting. She tells me that she has a uteral fibroid. My mother has already gone through menapause and she is on prempro. The two doctors she has already consulted both say it is imperative for her to have a complete hystorectamy. She already canceled on one of the operations she had schedueled. She is now looking for an "alternative method" to rid herself of this... problem. She is scared and that makes sense to me, but is there anything she can do... I mean - should she be as afraid of this operation as to not have it? Isn't this , vital to her wellbeing to have a hystorectamy? I've been saving all of the messages related to this subject for her (computer illiterate)... and I'm hoping someone perhaps has some more information about alternate treatments, and the severity of uteral fibroids.
