I believe that helped tremendously as my exam was not painful and I have never had children so that cervix was never opened before :o) There was a little bit of cramping, but it lasts such a little amount of time that I hardly noticed it. My grandmother's advice always works for me when I am afraid of something that is good for me. "Just place one foot in front of the other and walk forward. It will be over before you know it". Sound advice for this endometrial biopsy procedure. My threshold for pain is low too and things went very well for me. I'll bet they do for you as well (just remember to take that ibuprophen or Tylenol).
