What about adhesions? Those can cause pain. If your pain is up and over your belly button, I wouldn't think Adenomyosis (endo within the muscle of the uterus) would be the problem, seeing as the uterus is much much lower.

Intestinal problems come to mind for me (IBS for one). Talk to your Doc about a GI Consult to see what the GI thinks is going on. MRI's have been done in limited cases of Adeno, but they are not reliable in diagnosing adenomyosis, so I wouldn't go through the expense of one personally.
