Re: At what age does peri-menopause start?

Thanks, I'm going to be 36 in a few months. Pretty much the last few cycles have been out of whack. Blood-work didn't show anything unusual except a somewhat lower estrogen level. I've had night sweats for year & 1/2 now. The pms symptoms vary from month to month. My mother had a hysterectomy at age 49 due to endometriosis. She had a ton of crazy symptoms for ten years before that. So we don't know at what age she would have "naturally" gone through menopause. I was diagnosed w/stage 1 endo about a year ago via laproscopy.

I'm trying to figure out if there's anything I can do, other than suffer. At this age, I could be in for 20 more years of crazy symptoms! My gyn has given me new bc patches to try for 2 months. I should be starting them this weekend. I'm apprehensive about the side-effects. I've had problems w/bcps in the past.
