Please Help!From: Patti (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 20 Jun 2002 09:16:00 -0500 (CDT)
I was given Serzone for light depression around my period. I had never had any serious depression or panic attacks. I was taking 100 mg. 2x's daily and had only been on them for 5 days a total of 9 pills, I had taken my 9th pill on a sunday morning and on my way home from a friends hous I had a severe panic attack, I was suppose to take my 10th one sunday night but, I chose not to. I called my Doc. the next morning and she said to cut down to one a day for a week and then stop completely. I chose not to because they had been making me feel weird anyway. Dry mouth, itchy, headaches. So I stopped cold turkey. The next sunday exactly one week to the day I had another attack and went to the emergency room and couldn't find anything wrong with me. I felt depleted the rest of the week. I have since had 2 small attacks. I really feel that it was the medication but, the doctors say they wouldn't think that it would still be in my system. I disagree but, have no basis to stand on. Again I have never had an attack before. Please help me with my dilemma. If it is possible please let me know.
