Kim, That's why I recommended the books, too much info to give you in a short post here. Once you have a better understanding of your hormones you'll know the right questions. To start with, your first post, why Clomid if you are not trying to conceive? My understanding is that it causes the ovary to release multiple eggs. I have never heard of any connection to balancing hormones. If anything, it would cause an imbalance. The dangers, multiple birth pregnancies. More importantly, recent studies show it increases your risk of ovarian cancer by 50%. Dangerous enough? If the nurses won't let you talk to the doc or he won't give you enough time, raise some hell! You are paying them for a service; they are your employees. You wouldn't let a plumber treat you that way so why let a doctor? Doctors do not walk on water and they don't know everything, no matter how "nice" they are to you. This is too important to worry about hurting their feelings.
