Daniel Braun, MD: "Re: Vaginal bleeding after bowel movement" I have IBS and only have a bowel movement twice a week at best. After straining, I bleed from my vagina. Sometimes it lasts more than a day. Then it starts to go away, and it's time to use the bathroom again, and it happens again! I know that it is coming from my vagina because I was so desperate to know that I have checked with a mirror. This problem is really upsetting me. Any ideas as to what could be causing this?
