Maybe if you have sex, the bacteria that get onto your partner's penis
may re-contaminate you the next time you have sex? So it's better to
wait until the bacteria have completely cleared up to have sex. Just
hand-waving here. I don't see any harm in refraining from sex until
you've completed the medication. Better safe than sorry...
