I did see an ENT who consulted with her sister who is an OB. Her sister said it was defintely hormonally related, and that I should try to use a decongestant the week prior to my period, which the ENT prescribed for me and she also had me use a nasal spray..which helped tremendously.

I also started an antihistimine (long acting) for my seasonal allergies, and that has helped also..but the decongestant and the nasal spray during that week, pretty much erraticated those symptoms prior to my period.

I couldn't for the life of me understand why I always got so congested during that week prior to my period, and then it would be gone within 3 days of my period..so I pretty much related it to hormones even before I saw the ENT.

Good luck, hope you find a treatment that helps.
