Yes it is safe to go to a new pack right away skipping the placeboes but you might have break through bleeding or light spotting trying it with this pill. I am on the same pill but never tried to skip my period but my doc told me if I ever tried to skip a period with Ortho Tricyclen it might trigger spotting. But all woman are different. And yes you are protected from pregnancy as long as you take all 3 actives weeks like you should not missing any. Hope this helps.
