Surgery does not cure endo, it only beats it back a bit. Different patients will have greater or lesser improvement, but it is virtually always temporary, and can be minimal to begin with. As long as you have functioning ovaries, you will have endo. A good test would be to try a GnRH agonist like Lupron. If your symtoms go away on the Lupron, which puts you into a temporary artificial menopause, then the endo is still what is causing your pain in all likelihood.
