2 year old stitches hurting or broken off needle ???From: DiscountsGlobal (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 27 May 2002 21:31:36 -0700
two years ago I had a blodclot removed from the left labia. The doctor did not use the correct sutures. One is still left internally, or something else is in there. They would not remove it. I went to 5 doctors who could not feel anything so they did not think it was there. I finally went to another doctor a few weeks ago who tried to locate where it was. They thought they found it as they found a very thin tiny piece of something...Lab said it was a "fiber"...nothing else. After the pain went away from the incision, I now find that the original "something" that is poking and hurting is still there. They just missed it by a fraction. I am beginning to wonder if this is the point of a broken needle...it feels and sticks just like metal, and I can feel it right under the skin but cannot get it to come through... I am at a total loss as to what to do. How do I find someone to get this out...It constantly is poking and sticking me all day and night. 2 years of this and I am about ready to figure out how to cut it out myself...thanks
