It doesn't trigger ovulation. It actually shuts it off completely. It is used to do theis so that one can then start ovulation induction from a known zero point. Searching Medline for "Lupron AND Ovulation induction" would work. Going to a local Library and getting a book on Reproductive Endocrinology would also give a lot of references.
