The symptoms of a 3cm cyst rupture (something that happens every ovulatory cycle) vary widely. The most common pattern is no awareness at all of what is happening. Another common pattern is some steadily building pressure or discomfort, a twinge, and then sudden improvement of those feelings. Rarely, the pain continues to build, and can become quite severe, even intolerable, suggesting a possible hemorrhagic cyst.
