[Birth Control] another question about ORTHOTRICYCLEN and ZOVIA

My HMO switched me recently from orthotricyclen to zovia. I tried to follow the confusing directions they sent me about switching, and I wanted to make sure I was not in danger of becoming pregnant. I used other forms of birth control for 1 week when I started the Zovia, like it said, but the last 2 months, my periods have been so much lighter than they ever had been for the 3+ years I took Orthotricyclen. Is this normal, and did I follow the directions accurately?
