may be in menopause-feel worse during placebo week (brown pills) of birth contro

I'm 49- I think I may be starting menopause. I'm going to my doctor in July, and she may have me get an FSH test. Are they very reliable? Also, I think I notice a difference in the way I feel during the week I am on the brown (placebo) pills of my birth control (Loestrin). I feel more tired, more on edge, and just not as good during that week. I suspect that I feel better when I start back on the pill each cycle, because the estrogen in the pill makes me feel better. Has anyone else experienced this? -rb
