Good a.m.,

I was trying to check in the archives to see if I could get an answer to the question about how many pounds is considered to be too heavy for laparoscopy. I was not able to find exactly what I was looking for. The reason that I'm asking this is b/c I met a young lady last nite that has symptoms of endo, and it also runs in her family but the dr has not once done a laparoscopy to definitively diagnose her with endo. The dr had told her that if she sent this young lady to a specialist that the specialist would say that she was too heavy for the procedure. With that in mind I need to know how many pounds is considered too heavy for laparoscopy? This young lady weighs 300 #.

Is there anything else that I need to tell her as she tries to get in with the specialist? She had called her dr again to tell her that she really wants to go to the specialist even though the dr thinks that it won't do any good which was also why the dr put her on Lupron. But right now she's having a difficult time with this medication and it's only been 3 days since she got the shot.

Thanks so much for your time,

===== Kristy :)
