2 questions.: BC & weightloss / reliable methods of BC...

Hi.

I have two questions.

Does anyone here know anything about birth control pills interfereing w/ weightloss? (e.g. ortho-novum 777-28)

Also, and this one is going to sound stupid, but what is the most reliable method of birth control besides the pill and surgery? (I've been on the pill for 15 years, so I have not been keeping up on the research and stats.)

I've read that *on average* the pill does not interfere w/ weightloss, but that a small percentage of people do have related problems. I (and my physician, my gyn, my nutritionist, and my trainer) have ruled out all other reasons for my resistance to weightloss, and all that is left is the possibility of the pill. So I am considering going off of it, but I am a newlywed and having a child right now is NOT an option.

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance,

Lauren
