I don't know if you will get this or not before your surgery. Last fall I had a laproscopy and urethroscopy..(sp?) at the same time. I had SEVERE pain after for 8 days. It took 5 days before I could lower myself to the toilet on my own and the first 3 days I needed help to walk and sit up. I was prescribed percocet which I went through very quickly as I would wake with pain up as soon as it began to wear off. My doctor willingly gave me more without an exam so I guess it is normal for some people. In additon, by the 8th day when I could finally walk comfortably, I found it very difficult to function normally I guess because I had literally been inactive for a week. Walking for only a minute or two made me breathless and dizzy. A new friend recently told me that she has had 7 laproscopies and never had pain for more than 2 days! Hopefully that will be your experience! Amanda >
