Calorie Intake During Pregnancy....

How many calories in total is a pregnant woman required to intake daily so both her and her baby would be healthy? I heard from different people that it's a grand total of 1500 to 1600 calories a day, and from others 1100 to 1200 however I'm not really sure. I just want to make sure I'm not robbing my baby if the calories he/she needs that's why I'm asking.

Thanks...
