That's interesting. Is there any way to get PID other than as an STD? I started my period late last night and am monitoring my pain (awful cramps/low back pain) and fever (nothing all day, then very low-grade, slight chills this evening until I took tylenol, after that I felt okay almost immediately). Since I'm still on vacation, I guess the main thing I'm worried about is, if my symptoms don't get any worse after my period's over, should try to see a doctor again now, or would it be okay to wait until I get home next week when I have an appt with my gyn? I've had a few different things suggested to me, including hepatitis. If this were hepatitis, from what I've been reading, wouldn't that mean I'm endangering all the people I'm visiting with? If that's really likely, I would go to a doctor in a heartbeat, but I'm not so sure it fits. Should I be tested for it anyway? And if so, can I just walk into a doctor's office and say, "Someone told me my symptoms sound like hepatitis, can you test me?" or would they not go for that? Thanks to all, Tess
