prolapsed internal hemorrhoidFrom: anonymous@obgyn.netThu, 25 Apr 2002 15:02:38 -0400
I believe I have a prolapsed internal hemorrhoid. At times after a bowel movement I will have a reddish bubble near the anus. No pain, but a bulging feeling. It has always gone away on it's own. Is this an internal hemorrhoid that has prolapsed and should I see a colo-rectal surgeon? I've started taking a daily fiber supplement (tablet form Citrucel) to keep stools soft. Is it safe to use these fiber supplements indefinitely or are they habit forming like stimulant laxatives? Thanks for your help!
