follow-up to Dr. McIntosh's response about BV

Thanks for that info. Now I'm done with the Flagyl, and the itching
persists...it's definitely related to the "discharge" from my period,
which appears normal. Should I wait until my period's done to determine
if there's still discharge? How could my doctor even diagnose anything
during my period?
Also, it is possible to have BV that needs a different antibiotic than
Flagyl?
FYI, I tested negative for Trichomoniasis, so that's not it...it's been
a month of this itching/irritation/discomfort and I'm getting
frustrated!! Please...suggestions? Ideas? Anything?
