Bartholin Marsupialization Post-Op Discharge

I had a marsupialization of a non-infected Bartholin Cyst done 4 months ago. The discharge was brown & sticky & had a terrible odor for several weeks after surgery. It looked kind of like maple syrup only it didn't smell as good! The discharge is now white again & odorless but still very sticky. Is this normal & will the consistancy of the discharge ever be like it was before surgery? Is it normal for the area to still be a little swollen & tender 4 months post op? Also, during sex the vagina is very very lubricated; much more than it ever was before surgery. Is this normal?
