Isn't it amazing, so many women have the same problems with Deopo, ie: mood swings, lack of sex drive etc. and still doctors' don't inform them of these side effects before administering the shot. If so many women are reporting these side effects the doctors must be aware of them. I had just one shot NEVER AGAIN. I had such BAD mood swings I attacked my boyfriend. Something I would never normally do. I lost the person I wanted to spend the rest of my life with because of this shot. Being a man he could not understand hormones and thought he had seen a side to me that was part of my normal makeup. Don't say you should reseach before taking it! Before I had the shot I checked out the manufacturers web site (wrong place to look). I checked out the family planning assoc. web site. Not really much help, they seem to know about as much as myself . I didn't know where else to look for information. How are women supposed to know until it is to late what this shot can do to you. You don't think of putting in a search for 'side effects', because you trust your doc to know about them. How can we be so nieve. GoodLuck.

>>I can totally sympathize w/ you. I started taking the shots because the pill made my blood pressure sky high and I had to take something!! I had awful side affects which were not in the literature provided by my gyno. After searching the web I did find atleast some mention of all of my symptoms regarding depo shots. After trying several things(spermacide--allergic reaction, condoms ect.) I became preg. w/ my 2nd son. It felt like the only thing I hadn't tried was the IUD. I had my tubes tied. Now I am having all kinds of cycle irregularities!! Why does it have to be so hard for women!! Just wanted to share your frustrations and let you know there is a sympathetic shoulder out there! Also my dr. never really informed me of any downsides to having a tubal. I think the moral of the story is to do your own research! I won't be burned like that again! LOL! I wish you the best of luck!
