They used it on my aunt when they were inducing her for a vbac (vaginal birth after c-section) she reacted fine to it and had no problems with the baby, it actually helped her to not need the pitosin to induce. I can't remember the name to it but if you have any other questions ask the ob before she uses it on your sis-in-law. In my opinion with what I saw it was great.
