Clara, I just went through the same thing. They were very specific and even named what the mass looked like--which they said looked like a specific very fast growing cancer,it was larger than your mass. I am 39 without a family history of ovarian cancer. You will be scared until they tell you for sure. With in a week of having the ultrasound done I had seen my primary care DR. a Gyn. With alot of tests done in between. CA125 (which came back at 30-within normal ranges but they gyn said so many things could effect it), CTscan (which said the ultrasound was a better reading - which scared the heck out of me), and 4 other tests to check for cancer markers in different organs. My Gyn had me see a Oncologist Gyn and he made me feel much better. He said it was a complex mass (which looks like cancer in ultrasound) but there are so many kinds of cysts that can be on your ovaries it was probably not cancer - very low chance. I did take clomid for a couple of years so had a little risk factor but he made me feel confident that it was not cancer but said it had to be taken out to be sure. I had to have a total hysterectomy with removal of both tubes and ovaries. It turned out to be very bad endometriosis that had destroyed everything. I know how scared you are right now and saying don't worry won't do any good, you have this thing in your body and you want to know what it is. I hope you have great news like me! I hope this helps.
