Perimenopause at 35?From: Celia (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 12 Apr 2002 12:22:09 -0500 (CDT)
I will be 36 this August. This year I have put on 10 pounds,( a huge weight gain for my usual size 6 frame) and while my periods are regular, I've been experiencing fatigue, depression and two weeks a month of PMS symptoms (swollen breasts, cramps, bloating, severe irritability...etc. ) It's gotten so bad, that I cry all time for a week before my period. I have two small children who suffer through it with me every month. And I'm so sick of feeling sick & tired & grumpy for half the month. I eat well and exercise regularly...What is going on w/ my body? What hormone tests should I request my doctor take at my next visit to rule out perimenopause? (It should be noted also, that I have anticardiolipin syndrom and a progesterone deficiancy which has cause infertility in the past). Please help.
