blood tinged cervical mucous

Dear Doctor, My husband and I are trying to conceive our fourth child - each day prior to ovulation, I do check internally for cervical mucous. My question is that today I noticed that I had a small amount of blood-tinged cervical mucous. It was only upon this internal check - and it was in a rather small "clump".

Can you tell me if this is normal? My period ended on Sunday....6 days.

I also notice that I spot a few days prior to menstruation (at 11dpo) - again only upon internal checks...nothing that ever reaches the panties.

Is this something that I should be concerned about now that we're trying to conceive?

Thanks!
