Just becuase drs are at work when they treat their patients doesn't make them not human. I think every dr that has done a good job should know that they have, so they can continue to treat their patients well. A letter of thanks should never be misconstrued as anything but a letter of thanks. People thank their real estate agent when they sell their house, why not thank the dr or midwife who safely delivers your baby? I know I did and there was never any doubt about the purpose of the letter. Doctors are human, they like to know what they are doing is worth their while! Why do so many ppl on these boards think everything comes back to sex? Life is a much more rich tapestry than that, or at least I hope it is.

P.S Sure, it is a fairly established phenomenon of women getting 'crushes' on their obstetrician, but even a crush can be completely innocent of anything sexual (especially when both parties are attached).
