I had intense itching and white growths that looked like wrinkled cigarette paper. My labia had a whiteish/grey color. Many dr.s aren't very familiar with this and tend to go the infection route instead of biopsy. I have had ggod luck with clobetasol when I have an outbreak. It has caused adhesions of my inner labia and clitoris - I wish I had been diagnosed sooner so as to prevent that!!
