OK It Was Just An Idea/Thought...From: Maxine (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 4 Apr 2002 14:41:58 -0600 (CST)
I truly regret mentioning anything about thanking your OB/GYN as I don't want that topic to get out of hand. Yes it is inappropriate to give your DR. gifts and flowers and the reason I mentioned it was because it was mentioned on here before, however I did feel kind of funny even bringing it up. I don't see anything wrong with writing to your DR if you can't reach him via telephone. When I would write to my Dr it was for PROFESSIONAL reasons not for love. No I'm not interested in a personal relationship with my OB/GYN. I'm taken and I'm pretty sure he is also. I don't remember the first time I wrote to him the second I couldn't reach him cause I had no idea he took the day off due to the holiday. My letters were always based on my medical problems and NOT on anything sexual. I respect him and myself way too much for that type of behavior and I'm NOT interested in my DR in that way shape or form. Yes writing every two weeks is over doing it that I agree that's way I asked Kristy since she herself has written to her Dr before when would it be appropiate to drop him a thank you note without me having to mention anything about my health just a thank you and nothing more. I do see your point as a matter of fact I appreciate all your opinions and have taken them to heart Thanks..
