It is a permanent form of birth control and you would not be able to have another child without having expensive surgery and then there is only a very slim chance that it would be successful enabling you to conceive. If you are wanting to have another child this would not be the way to go. I had a tubal ligation after the birth of my 4th child knowing that I definitely did not want to have any more children. It is the best when you are all done.......Maybe you are thinking of an IUD?
