Dr. Chudacoff - question on previous email

Hi,

If someone can find Dr. Chudacoff, I have a question on one of his answers. I don't understand why. I've had several others say no, that the BCP cancels the effectiveness of Metformin. Then someone said they got pregnant and BCP and Metformin. I haven't found anything in Medline, and am trying to look up Cochrane ... any ideas?

Thanks

Probably decreases the effectiveness because it increases your chance of ovulation. Especially if you're taking it for polycystic ovarian syndrome.
