Please be aware Sir, that this is NOT a violation of your girl friend. I was raped 4 yrs ago,and I NEEDED my husband to go with me. He had trouble with it because of the memories of the asssault. But I had more trouble going alone after such an incident. A dr DID NOT rape me...it ws just the trauma of seeing another man at that end of the table and facing him alone...someone I did not know. He gave up his pain for me. It was THE most caring/loving thing and meant so much to me. He jsut held my hand and closed his eyes! What he did, made our relationship strong....and he never said a word afterwards other than...is there anyhting I can do to make you feel better? It was important that I went. I found out that even without symptoms , I had pre-cancerous cells. Had I not gone,...I would be dead now. Please try to go with her, or allow her to do what she needs to for her health. It is not painful. It is not always easy. But I thank God my husband was there for me. I will pray for both of you to find strength to accept this as a normal part of life. If you indeed want her to live healthy,...please please accept this. Sarah
