Although I'm at home and not with any reference manuals, there are at
last count, over 30 different problems causing elevated CA-125. Many
have to do with benign ovarian lesions as well as a variety of liver
problems. Endometriosis and fibroids are notable as well but with a
TAHBSO, it't not too likely.
Conditions such as endometriosis, normal pregnancy, pelvic inflammatory
disease, uterine fibroids, hepatitis, pancreatitis, and cirrhosis may
contribute to elevated levels of serum CA 125. Malignancies of breast,
lung, and gastrointestinal tract may also be associated with an
elevation of this tumor marker.
Hope this helps and write back anytime for more information.
