Hi Mikki, Wow! I am 39 and scheduled for a hyst. My right ovary has already been removed and I am hoping to keep the left for a while. I wonder if the enlarged veins had anything to do with pelvic congestion (which causes most of my pain and caused the removal of my right ovary - a huge relief!!!). My pelvic veins are very enlarged and blood pools in them causing pain. I have wondered if this problem could cause alot of bleeding during surgery. My uterus is slightly enlarged and I have significant areas that are cyanotic or white ... this is either from the pelvic congestion or adenomyosis. ANyway, you voice one of my biggest fears about the surgery. I am anxious to hear what the doctor on the forum tells you. (I am also anxious about the ERT). SarahB
