Adnexa is the ovary area if I am not mistaken. Fluid can sometimes show if an ovarian cyst has ruptured.

You are right, it can be excruciating. Call the Dr. and see if you can get in sooner. If you have the report, I am sure he has it. But take it with you just in case he doesn't. Maybe he will be willing to discuss the findings over the phone.
