My stepson's mother is pregnant again. She has bipolar disorder and so does my stepson. Her condition seems to cycle rapidly. What is the chance that she will have post pardum depression? Will it be severe? We don't know, because her situation with my stepson is very stressful now and we don't know what this PPD is going to be like for her to have another child. Her son's psychiatrist told her that it would be in her best interest not to have any more children b/c of both of their conditions. We are wondering if she may just give up on him and send him our way or if he i going to get the special attention that he needs. We don't know what to expect for him.
