Kelly Shanahan, MD, FACOG: "Re: medical question" Hello, I've seen your website by typing "medical procedures" in my search box and I needed to ask a question. i've heard that there is a procedure, made especially for rape victims of Mideastern decent in order to cover up the fact that they had been raped so as to be able to be wed without any problems. If you are familiar with the Mideastern culture you'll know that being a virgin when one is wed is probably the most important thing in a females life so as not to disgace her family and herself. I'm asking if you know what the name of that procedure is. I'd appreciate if you can write me back and help me with my question.
