[Birth Control] which pill? there's been so manyFrom: bb (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 27 Mar 2002 07:25:43 -0600 (CST)
I've been on about 9 different pills in the last 13 years and my bustline is just enormous. Each time I've changed pills it's normally been for breakthrough bleeding or dizzy spells. It seems like everything works fine (all have had side effects which I just tolerate)for the first year and then the big problems come. Each time I've changed I give them a good year to work but since I had my gall bladder removed the side effects have gotten worse. My doctor told me that the gallbladder has alot to do with the absorbtion of the pill. My side effects since the removal have been severe bloating, mainly of the bustline. My back can't take it anymore. I've been on Yasmin for 6 months now and gained a cup size. My poor doctor is running out of pills to try. I have seriously thought about giving my body a break for several months to see what happens but at this point I fear the unknown. After so many years on the pill what are the typical symptom of the readjustment period of quitting the pill????? And if I do give mysself a break and then go back on them, can you offer a suggestion for which pill ????????? The pills I can remember being on are ortho novum 135, ortho Tricyclene, orthocylene, triphasil 28, currently yasmin...I'm sorry I can't remember the older pills I was on but they're probably outdated anyway.
