The test came out negative and my nurse practitioner said that my cervix was normal. I'm a college student and I'm assuming the nurse practitioner is reliable; however I've become much more concerned after your reply. I was told that I may just have a sensitive cervix and the stimulation of intercourse causes a little breakthrough bleeding. She also said that the higher progestin in Desogen should help thicken my cervical mucuous and possibly help the problem. I haven't been experiencing pain and it seems like the bleeding is from deep penetration. Should I get a second opinion and another pelvic exam just to make sure? How rare is it to have bleeding during intercourse as a side effect of bcp's? I'm very concerned about this being more serious than I may have previously assumed. Please respond. Thanks!
