Steroids are no involved in PID. Antibiotics, whether oral or intranvenous (based upon severity of the disease) is the appropriate treatment. On occasion, a laparoscopy may need to be done to make the diagnosis and/or drain a pelvic abscess. Hope this helps and write back anytime for more information. Dr. M
