[Birth Control] acne and alesseFrom: Heather (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 23 Feb 2002 15:56:46 -0600 (CST)
I have taken Alesse for 2 months and am supposed to start a new pack tomorrow. I have experienced increased acne since beginning the Alesse (but was prescribed this low dose pill because I am unable to take the higher dose pills). I know Alesse is prescribed to improve acne and if this is the case, will the acne improve if I keep taking it? Which is the best choice, continue the Alesse and see if the acne improves, or stop it and try another low dose pill? I do not normally have acne problems, so taking a pill that helps acne is not that important to me. I need a low dose pill that does not cause increased breast tenderness and size. Thank you.
