Ihad this test done also. I do not think you can have sex or insert anything in the vagina for two weeks after. You will also spot afterwards. This checks for abnormalities of your cervix. If they see anything abnormal, they will biopsy that section. Ihad very little discomfort,and for me it was fairly quick. I took Tylenol one hour before. Good Luck !!! Alice
