Hi Kim... it does indeed sound like the uterus compressing some pelvic nerves. I had this develop in my 8th month... and was somewhat concerned when it did not go away after the baby was born. A month or so after the birth, I saw a neurologist... and that is exactly what I was told. It took about 9 months before I regained any sort of feeling in that area, and for the (annoying) burning sensation that shot up my thigh, to completely disappear. Nerves need time to repair.
