should i be worried?From: anonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 19 Feb 2002 21:39:43 -0600 (CST)
A few weeks ago, I had a small fever blister below my nose. (I get them once or twice a year). It happened hours after engaging in oral sex with my boyfriend, but there was no contact. Nothing happened 2 weeks later, and a nurse told me not to worry. We continued in our normal, careful lives and love life. I made sure I changed toothbrushes, wash and such, while it was healing. Days ago, he used my toothbrush. Today I'm starting to feel the tingling of a small blister on my lip. Could I have re-infected myself or could it just be the virus popping up somewhere else due to stress? Could I have infected him? I thought I'm being careful. What can I do now?
