Mine is definately impacted by hormones as I have minimal problem when I am pregnant and when I took ortho-tricyclen... when I am off the pill I have terrible skin problems (face, back, upper arms, chest, neck). I had a baby in Sept 2001 and am on Micronor since I am breastfeeding. I am again getting acne on my face, neck, and back ... I am also planning for a hysterectomy in the next few months due to endo and chronic pelvic pain. Here are my questions. 1. What hormones play a role in this type of acne (too much progesterone, not enough estrogen etc.??)?? 2. After the hysterectomy will the HRT make it worse or better?
