I have been scheduled for a endrometrial libation in a couple of weeks. I have had breakthrough bleeding for 6 months, a D&C was done 3 months ago and no relief, even seemed to of got worse. I was told either to have a hysterectomy or the libation procedure. I chose the libation due to the fact my grandmother had breast cancer in the 1950 and she was in her 50's when she died. I have had 12 breast biopies in the last 25 years all benign, but have the fear of taking hormones. Is it a given to take hormones after a hysterectomy or does it just depend on how your body handles the changes.Are hormones primarily for hot flashes? I am 47 years old and don't know what to do.
